Doris Ludwig

Ludwig, Doris M. of Saginaw Township, MI passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Cartwright Hospice Residence. She was 91 years old. Doris Mabel Frank was born on July 4, 1923 in AuGres, MI to the late Daniel and Ida (Stone) Frank. She married Dr. Claud A. Ludwig on August 25, 1951 in East Lansing, MI. They lived in Port Huron, MI for 40 years. Doris was employed by Capitol Airlines as an Air Hostess for seven years before her marriage. She enjoyed her family and many friends, her antique doll collection, sewing, crafts and flower arranging. Doris is survived by her children: Andrew (Chris) Ludwig, Christine (Paul) Schaub, Susan Ludwig (Stephen Kempski), and Craig Ludwig; daughter-in-law, Susie Parker; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband; oldest son, R. Alan Ludwig; daughter-in-law, Minna Davidson and siblings. MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial service celebrating Doris' life will held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 26, 2015 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 123 North Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI. Rev. Fr. Daniel Cannon will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family one hour prior to the service time. Doris' wishes were to donate her body to The University of Michigan Medical Center. Her cremated remains will then be entombed next to her husband in the Wayside Chapel, Lake Louise, Boyne Falls, MI at a later date. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial contribution to the St. John's Episcopal Church Stained Glass Window Fund.
