Harmon Earegood

EAREGOOD, Harmon W. of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison. He was 86 years old. Harmon William Earegood was born on October 25, 1928 in Gratiot County, Michigan to the late Harmon and Frieda (Bennett) Earegood. He married Greta I. Reist on December 26, 1952; she survives him. Harmon proudly served in the United States Army. He worked for a few plumbing contractors and eventually started his own business, Earegood Plumbing and Heating. Harmon was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Post #439. He absolutely loved to build cabins and houses, woodworking, flower gardens, and painting. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Greta; son, Vincent (Debra) Earegood; two sisters: Marilou Brown and Maxine Glynn; many nieces, nephews, and friends; and his loving Brittney Spaniel, Jodie. Harmon was preceded in death by his parents; son, William Earegood; brother, Leslie Earegood; and sister, Alberta Gault. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Rama Mulpuri for her many years of caring. FUNERAL: Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, 121 S. Harrison St. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Military honors will take place at the mausoleum under the auspices of the Army National Guard. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., as well as on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
