Jack Gotham

GOTHAM, Jack C. of Saginaw, Michigan passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Saginaw Senior Care and Rehab Center. He was 75 years of age. Jack Carlton Gotham was born April 23, 1939 in Saginaw, MI to the late Jack F. and Helen (Krause) Gotham. He married Carol I. Pendred on August 22, 1959. She preceded him in death on March 9, 1972. He then married Susan Dianne Pendred on June 23, 1973 in Frankenmuth. She preceded him in death on January 17, 2012. Jack was an electrician at General Motors for 39 years. He was an avid sports fan and lifelong Detroit Tigers fan. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. Left to treasure his memory are four sons: Daniel (Kay) Gotham, Douglas (Barbara) Gotham, Donald (Laura) Gotham, and Daryl (Lisa) Gotham; one daughter: Penny Gotham and her husband Michael Dork; eight grandchildren: Arika Martin, Megan Mattox, Carolyn Kleinschmit, Elise Miller, Marley, Livia, Nolan and Brady Gotham; three great-grand children: Jordan, Ashtyn and Peyton Martin; sisters: Jo Ann (Leo) Schultz and Yvonne (Robert) Morgan; two brothers-in-law: Victor and Richard Pendred; six sisters-in-law: Eileen Heinrich, Elsie Maser, Phyllis McGuire, Pauline Duby, Alice Freehling, and Zella Jean Freehling; and many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his wives; and two brothers-in-law: Ross and Ted Pendred. FUNERAL: Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2015 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State St.). Rev. Donald D. Gotham will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the Deisler Funeral Home on Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
