Joan Gibson

Joan M. Gibson passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Barton Woods Assisted Living. She was 89 years old. Joan M. Cronkright was born on May 1, 1925 in Alma, MI to the late William and Buelah (Dyer) Cronkright. She married Harry V. Gibson on November 9, 1946 in Saginaw. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2007. Joan's grandchildren and family left a sparkle in her eye that brought her great joy. Her loving spirit will be greatly missed by her children: Karen (Al) Szilagyi, Kathy (Tim) Fettig, Kim (Wayne) Anderson, Kris Ballard, Karol (Pat) Fitzgerald, Tim (Lynda) Gibson, Harry (Cathy) Gibson, Gail (Michael) Pabst and Gwen (Randy) Stanard; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother, William "Jim" Cronkright. Joan was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jennifer Fettig; four brothers and one sister. A Private Burial has taken place and Joan was laid to rest next to her husband, Harry, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).
