Kathleen Branch

BRANCH, Kathleen "Katie" M. (Yaklin) of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison. She was 94 years old. Kathleen Margaret Yaklin, the oldest daughter of 12 children, was born on August 11, 1920 in Maple Grove, Michigan to the late Ed and Emma (Bitterman) Yaklin. She married Raymond David Branch on August 9, 1942 and they celebrated 53 years of marriage; he preceded her in death on June 22, 1998. Katie and Ray loved to travel and spent summers at Houghton Lake with their many friends, enjoying fishing and snowmobiling. Katie will be remembered as a strong woman who loved life and family. Surviving are her four daughters: Shirley (Raymond Jr.) Beebe, Diane (Stanley) Sexton, Jane (Bill Northrup) Gillem, and Donna (Larsen) Branch-Cottrell; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings: Betty Hamilton, Bernard (Verna) Yaklin, Jeanne (Kenneth) Wenzlick, Dorothy (Rupert) Birchmeier, JoAnne (Dale) Cramton, and Marilyn Gruner; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and five siblings; and many others. FUNERAL: Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 4735 N. Michigan Ave. Rev. Fr. Steven M. Gavit will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., as well as on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
