Harry Capper

CAPPER, Harry Norman "Norm" of Mission Viejo, California, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He was 85 years old. Harry Norman "Norm" Capper was born on October 14, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Robert W. and Hilda E. (Latimer) Capper. He married Bonnie Jean Nolan on June 18, 1950; she preceded him in death June 4, 2002. He was preceded in death by a son, Kirk Norman Capper. Norm was a graduate of Bay City Central High School and Michigan State University. He was employed by Farm Bureau Insurance Company and worked independently for several years as an insurance investigator. In his younger years, Norm played saxophone in several dance bands in the area. He also enjoyed golfing and was a fan of Michigan State University football and basketball. Surviving are a son, Mark Capper of Newport Beach, California; daughter, Chris (Dan) Williams of Knoxville, Tennessee; granddaughter, Meghan Williams of Knoxville, Tennessee; great-grandson, Oliver Conner of Knoxville, Tennessee. MEMORIAL SERVICE: A Memorial Service honoring Norm will take place graveside at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Oakwood Cemetery (corner of Gratiot and Midland Roads). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and again on Monday at Oakwood Cemetery shortly before the service.
