Jean Hagerty

HAGERTY, Jean Marie of Saginaw, Michigan, Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at North Ottawa Care Center - Heartwood Lodge, with her family by her side. She was 92 years old. Jean Marie McNalley was born on December 13, 1921 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Russell and Flossie (Rye) McNalley. She married Joseph C. Hagerty on July 7, 1951 in Saginaw; he preceded her in death on November 1, 2007. Jean was a proud graduate of Saginaw High School. She was a talented with crafts and especially enjoyed working on ceramics. Jean enjoyed working side by side with her husband Joe remodeling houses. Above all, Jean loved spending time with her family as well as celebrating her Irish heritage. She was an owner and operator of Jean Marie's Beauty Salon in Birch Run. Surviving are two children: Cindy (Tom) Ellis of Norton Shores, and Joseph (Cindy) Hagerty of Brighton; two step children: William (Linda) Hagerty of St. Charles, and Lora Lee (Frank) Dupuis of Saginaw, 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Service.
