Betty Stevenson

STEVENSON, Betty Mae of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Heartland Health Care Center in Bridgeport. She was 90 years old. Betty Mae Stevenson was born on May 31, 1924 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Albert and Hazel (Thompson) Stevenson. Betty graduated from Saginaw High School with the Class of 1945. She later worked for the Kresge Company as a director of dry goods. In Betty's spare time, she enjoyed quilting and traveling with her church group. Surviving are her two sisters: Elaine Cramer and Clara (Ralph) Gaunt; brother, Hugh (Ethel) Stevenson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Shirley Brockless. FUNERAL: Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
