Obituary
HERNANDEZ, Raymond "Ray" of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at St. Mary's of Michigan. He was 78 years old. Raymond was born on February 18, 1936 in Tuscola County, Michigan to the late Francisco and Marta (Mendoza) Hernandez. He married Pamela Barclay in April of 1975; she survives him. Ray retired after 40 years as crane operator for Clinkston & Sons. Ray enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and pool. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Pam; two daughters: Virginia Zarazua and Angela Hernandez and fiancé, William Brethhauer; seven grandchildren: Miguel, Jesus, Alecea, Angel, Grace, Nicolle, and Jacob; two favorite sisters-in-law, Michelle Valenzuela and MaryGrace Emerson; special niece and nephews: Dawn Cirne, Mark Valenzuela, and Albert Valenzuela; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister: Joseph, Henry, and Mary; and sister-in-law, Renee Barron. FUNERAL: Funeral Services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State). Pastor Tim LaVere will officiate. Cremation will follow. Private burial will follow at a later date at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. My father-in-law Ray is awesome he would take me fishing on a wimm funny story, we go down to fish on the Saginaw river and we're fishing about 45 mins. And across the river a ship comes to off load whatever it's carrying and the water is going put about four ft. From where were sitting not paying any attention to the river level and now the ship is about to leave. And with no warnings the river comes back five ft. Plus Ray was over taken by the river head over heels he goes I had to chase him, the chair,tackle, poles and we laugh so hard I think I might have peed a Lil bit. Love and miss you today, tomorrow and always. Love your Son in law.
