Phillis Ferris

FERRIS, Phillis May, of Saginaw Township, Michigan passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison. She was 84 years old. Phillis May Bargeman was born on September 12, 1929 in Port Huron, Michigan to the late Theodore and Dora (Metter) Bargeman. She married Harold R. Ferris on November 12, 1970; he survives her. Phillis attended the Catholic Schools in Port Huron. She worked at the Chrysler Corporation, Marysville, Citizens Federal and Savings, Port Huron, Gem Survey, and Norton Shores Assessor's Office, Muskegon County. She and Harold wintered in Florida for 30 years and while there, she volunteered for Meals on Wheels. They also traveled extensively around the world, including Russia and China and all of the States. Phillis also loved music and the performing arts. Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Harold; daughter, Deborah (John) Kruis; step-son, David (Trish) Ferris; three grandsons: Jason and Jeremy Crisenbery and Daniel Ferris; one grand-daughter, Julie Ferris; and five great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Bradley J. Rose. "We couldn't be more blessed to have such a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. We love you." Per Phillis' request, cremation has taken place. There will be a private memorial service held at later date. A private burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci, Michigan.
