Concepcion Olvera

I met Conce in 2009 when I joined the American GI Forum. Conce had a passion for the kids in school, he often told me he wished he could have another 20 more years to finish the work he started. Conce was a great man who had a vision of see all young Mexican kids suceed and graduate from school. You will be missed Conce God Bless you my friend.

My sincere condolences to the Olvera family. Conception was an extraordinary man.

A memory of my Tio Conce (Detective Colombo) In the early 70's my Tio Conce worked across the street from our house on Oak St. along with sons( Luis),and Steve. My Uncle would stop to visit with my ma Theresa, with his hat, cigar in his mouth like Colombo the detective on T.V.( hope every one remembers that show) all he needed was the rain coat. LOL! especially when he talked with his cigar in his mouth. When I told him how he reminded of Colombo back in the day, boy he got a kick out of it. We had a good laugh. May you Rest in peace Tio.
