FRITZ, Raymond "Ray" of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 86 years old. Ray Fritz was born on October 2, 1927 in Saginaw to the late Mathias and Freida (Weber) Fritz. He married Lois M. Fritz on October 2, 1948 in Saginaw; she survives him. Ray was a member of St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church. He worked for Malleable Iron and Gary Weiss Auto Body, later retiring from Michigan Sugar in Carrollton. Ray had a passion for music, and as a young boy enjoyed playing the accordion. He then founded the Ray Fritz Polka Band and played at many venues throughout Michigan. Surviving are his beloved wife of 65 years, Lois M. Fritz of Saginaw; three daughters: Beverly McMall-Fritz, Janice (Quaadir) Al-Hasan, Rae (Richard) Johnson; 9 grandchildren including Phillip and Shari Hahn who live with Lois and Ray; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Amelia Landskroener and Ida Doran. He was predeceased in death by three brothers: Edward, William and Leroy Fritz. FUNERAL: Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5501 Gratiot Rd. Pastor Mark Lindloff will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.; and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. I can remember as a young girl going with my Uncle Raymond and Aunt Lois to where Uncle Raymond played. I'll never forget those times, I idolized my uncle. Somewhere along the line our family fell apart and I haven't seen my uncle in many, many years. I hope when we all reach God's arms we can once again love each other, as a family should. I feel I missed out on so much growing up as far as a big family was concerned.

Thank you for thinking of us and remembering my father. Like you, I also missed out on our big family. I always wished I had a chance to know all the cousins, aunts and uncles better. I remember seeing you once or twice when I was very little. Again, thank you so much.
