Kay Burns

BURNS, Kay Ann of Saginaw Township, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at her home. She was 80 years old. Kay A. Livingston was born on February 9, 1934 in Saginaw to the late Frank and Wilma (Kasch) Livingston. She married Robert L. Burns on November 6, 1952 in LaGrange, Indiana. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2000. Kay was a faithful member of Resurrection Lutheran Church. She was young of heart and enjoyed making others laugh. Kay loved animals, sharing recipes, traveling and being connected on Facebook with family and friends. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren. Left to treasure Kay's memory are her six children: Linda (John) Redmond, Gary (Linda) Burns, James (Susan) Burns, Debbie Martin, Michael (Karen Totten) Burns and Pam Burns; 19 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, George Livingston; two nephews and one niece. Kay was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Carol Livingston. FUNERAL: Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Kathleen Basner will officiate and burial will follow. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at Roselawn Memorial Gardens from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Resurrection Lutheran Church.
