NAPIERALA, Kenneth "Ken" F. of Saginaw, MI passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. He was 68 years old. Kenneth Frank Napierala was born on April 2, 1945 at St. Mary's Hospital to the late Frank R. and Ortelle B. (Coty) Napierala. Ken graduated from St. Mary's Cathedral in 1963. He served for four years in the United States Navy as a storekeeper on the U.S.S. Berkley. After Ken returned to Saginaw, he earned his data processing certification and spent his working career as a salesperson for Sears and Roebuck Company, retiring in April of 2007. Ken was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #439, and the Brothers of Kosciuszko. He is survived by one brother and one sister: Ronald of Helena, MT and Elaine (Thomas) Newton of St. Joseph, MN; six nephews; four nieces; several great-nieces and great nephews; one aunt, Grace Hamling; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister- and brother-in-law, Maureen and Raymond Brown. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn Street. Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the American Legion Post #439. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. A Vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on at the funeral home. Kenneth will lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Ron and Elaine, I'm so very sorry to hear of Ken's passing. It has to be so painful
to have to come back to Saginaw to bury a loved one.

to Kens family...I am so sorry to hear of Kens passing....I worked with him for many years at Sears....our paths continued to cross as he lived near my mother....and Ken was a 2nd cousin to my daughter in law....keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Ken and I were in the same class @ St. Casimir. I'd run into him every now and then at Sears. My sincere condolences on Ken's passing.
