Obituary
LUCIO, Herbert "Herbie" G. of Saginaw Michigan passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Cartwright Hospice Residence. He was 66 years old. Herbert G. Lucio, Jr. was born on February 17, 1948 in Saginaw to the late Herbert, Sr. and Dolores (Soria) Lucio. He married Juanita DeLeon on March 12, 1984 in Toledo, Ohio. She survives him. He was a 1967 graduate of Holy Rosary High School. Herbie was employed by Steering Gear / Delphi at Plant 4 and Plant 2 from 1967 to 2001. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. Herbie was an avid Michigan State, Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions fan. He enjoyed traveling, camping, barbequing and going on trips to the casino. Above all, Herbie loved spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Juanita Lucio of Saginaw; one son, Alejandro Federico Lucio of Saginaw; three sisters and one brother: Connie (Tom) Rappley of Bridgeport, William (Diane) Lucio of Chesaning, Cathy (Joe) Hickey of Saginaw, and Julie (Tom) Mossner of Frankenmuth. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dog, Bandit. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jesse Lucio. FUNERAL: Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. 6th Ave. Rev. Fr. Francis Voris OFMCap will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at Deisler Funeral home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will take place on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. Herbert will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society. My heart is broken by the passing of my cousin Herbie at such an early age. Although I have not seen him in recent years I will always have a blood bound and fond memories of us growing up together. He was generous, caring and protective of his little cousin. I have thousands of stories to tell of these virtues and adventures, those that knew him can do the same. He was a good guy, it was always a joy to see him and I will cherish the love and kindness that he showed me. He will be missed. Love Michael
