Florence Burau

BURAU, Florence Kimball of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Monday March 24, 2014 at Covenant - Cooper Hospital. She was 86 years old. Florence Leora Kimball was born on August 24, 1927 in Mitchell, SD to the late George and Florence (Winsor) Kimball. She was married to James E. Burau on June 25, 1949 in Mitchell, SD; he preceded her in death. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Junior League of Saginaw, Assistance League, SVSU Ollies Follies, Covenant Hospital Auxiliary, Saginaw Country Club and DAR. Surviving are two sons and two daughters: Thomas Burau of Jacksonville, FL, Susan Burau of Charleston, SC, James (Cindy) Burau of Lake Tahoe, NV, and Mary (Chris) Stemczynski of Flushing and eight grandchildren: Clark Burau, John and Jennifer Jackson, Alison, Emily and Joshua Stemczynski, and Kimball and Calvin Burau. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. G. G. Kimball; four sisters; and one brother. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday April 12, 2014 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 123 N. Michigan Ave. Rev. Fr. Daniel Cannon and The Rev. Pam Renna will officiate. Burial took place at Graceland Cemetery, Mitchell, SD. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
