Bernice Russell

RUSSELL, Bernice Mary of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Monday, March 03, 2014 at the Wellspring Lutheran Services in Frankenmuth. She was 93 years old. Bernice Mary Sands was born on March 12, 1920 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late William D. and Ella D. (Weichman) Sands. Bernice married Gordon V. Russell; he preceded her in death on July 15, 1971. In her spare time, Bernice loved to cook, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Surviving are three sons: Richard (Mary Ann) Russell, William (Shirley) Russell, and Robert (Judy) Russell; three grandsons and one granddaughter: Richard (Dawn) Russell, James (Ann) Russell, Eric (Kristi) Russell, and Lisa (Matt) Coulter; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; grandson, Adam Russell; and four siblings. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
