Obituary
CASTANON, Eric A. of Muskegon, Michigan, formerly of Saginaw, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at his parents home with his family by his side. He was 39 years old. Eric A. Castanon was born on December 30, 1974 in Saginaw to Joe and Margaret (Castillo) Castanon. He graduated from Swan Valley High School with the Class of 1993. Eric was employed by Lakeshore Fittings, Inc. as a Hydromat Operator. He married Laura Hildreth on October 25, 2013; she survives him. Eric was a sports enthusiast and a fan of all sports. He especially enjoyed watching ESPN. Above all, Eric loved and cherished his nieces, nephews and stepsons. Surviving are his wife, Laura Castanon of Muskegon; his parents, Joe and Margaret Castanon of Thomas Township; two brothers: Steven (Trina) Castanon of Chesaning, Matthew (Tammie) Castanon of Saginaw Township; two stepsons: Nicholas and Darren Keeton of Muskegon; his grandmother, Rose Castillo of Saginaw; and special friends, Tom and Ann Woodin of Fruitport Township. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Eric was preceded in death by three grandparents: John Castillo, Juan and Socoro Castanon; his stepson, George Keeton; and his Uncle John Castillo. FUNERAL: Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate. Following Mass cremation will take place. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eric will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. MEMORIALS: In Lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. To Laura and to Eric and your Families: You are in my thoughts and prayers today in the passing of your loved one, Eric. I knew Eric when he worked with me at Supreme Machine and then when I found out He was marrying my cousin, Laura. He was a very nice kind man and He will be missed by many.
