GRINNELL, James Ronald of Saginaw passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at St. Mary's of Michigan. He was 76 years old. James was born on January 6, 1938 to the late Orrie and Ollie (Fauver) Grinnell. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1956. He was employed by GM and retired in the mid -1990's. James enjoyed playing billiards, bowling, NASCAR and his Harley. Surviving are his children; James Allen (Evelyn) Grinnell of Lansing, Cheri (Bobby) Arciniega of Traverse City, Shannon (Matt) Kowalec of Suttons Bay, Paul (Brandy) Grinnell of Detroit, and Close Companion Jean Pappas. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Jason Grinnell, Ashley Lieber, Brooke Arciniega, Jake Arciniega, Candice Kowalec, Amber Grinnell, Travis Kowalec, A.J. Grinnell and Austin Grinnell; his great grandchildren; Gavin and Trinity Rose Grinnell. Cousin Ruth Palmer and Edward Priem. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Ashley Lieber will officiate. Cremation will follow. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the funeral home on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. No visitation on Sunday. Friends are also welcome to visit on Monday, January 27, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Grinnell Family c/o Cheri Arciniega. I don't think i ever metb a bigger Dale Earnhardt fan than Mr Grinnell. He was one of the good guys that is for sure
