ALLEN, Amanda Lynn of Carrollton, Michigan, Our Beloved Angel, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison. She was 22 months old. Amanda Lynn Allen was born on March 22, 2012 to her proud parents: Brian F. and Emma L. (Donathen) Allen. Surviving are her parents: Brian and Emma Allen of Carrollton; an older brother, Brayden Allen of Carrollton; grandparents: Sue Osborn of Erie, PA, Brian K. Allen of Erie, PA, James and MaryEllen Donathen and Kathy Boni all of Buffalo, NY; two uncles: Patrick Donathen of Buffalo, NY and Elton of Erie, PA. FUNERAL: A Celebration of Amanda's life will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Saginaw Valley Church of the Nazarene, 1815 Tittabawassee Rd. Rev. Chuck Jacobson, Spirit Team Chaplain will officiate. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the church on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Service at 4:00 p.m. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family c/o Emma Allen. Arrangements are entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Please share your thoughts and memories with the family at the church or through www.deislerfuneralhome.com.

My memory was even before little Amanda was born. Emma called me one day and asked if I could give her a pregnancy test. I remember I drew her blood and performed the test. I was nervous for both her and Brian, they were both such young parents but deep down I knew they would be ok. I saw the test was positive and I said "Alright sis, you are definitely pregnant, congratulations" and the most beautiful smile appeared across Emma's face, it was just breathtaking, very similar to the ones little Amanda would flash at all the boys at the rink, and I just knew they were going to be a great little family. It was an honor to be one of the first people to inform you of little Amanda's upcoming arrival, thank you for sharing that moment with me.

Brian and Emma words can not express the pain and sorrow for the lost of a precious young loved one. My heart and prayers are with you and Brayden as you work through this hard time of Amanda's home-going Jesus has said you are now tired and I shell carry you home to heaven, and as we look back there will only be one set of foot prints in the sand for now you are God's Angel guiding and looking over those who loves you.
That big smile will away be remembered and continue to shine!

My favorite memory with Amanda was a beautiful Zoo Day this past summer w Amanda and Brayden. Amanda's eyes got big with every new animal! She was not afraid . reaching her little hand out -wanting to pet them all. Bob & I and our children will treasure that day <3

Words can not heal the pain a parent must endure over the loss of a child but hopefully they will bridge the gaps that help you survive from one day to the next. Know that our thoughts and prayers are continuously with you. God cradles Amanda in his arms and his spirit is by your side....connecting you to her forever.
