J. Craun

CRAUN, J. Thomas "TC," of Saginaw passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Cartwright Care Center. He was 77 years old. Tom was born on May 31, 1936 to the late Paul and Ruth (Hernberger) Craun. He married the late Patricia M. Lail on December 31, 1959 in Saginaw. Tom graduated from Saginaw High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962. Tom was employed by Timbertown Fire Restoration for 25 years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Fordney Club, American Legion Post 439 and was a life member of Masonic Lodge #77. Tom enjoyed winters in Florida, playing cards, watching golf and spending time with his buddy Spike. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his three children: Michael (Beth) Craun, Cindy (Bob) Redmond, Terri (Paul) Hagen; six grandchildren: Jessi and Paul Matthew Craun, Kayla and Sam Redmond, Jordan and Spencer Hagen; a sister; Kay Albera. A special thanks to the staff at Shattuck Manor and Cartwright Care Center for the wonderful care Tom received. The family would also like to thank Tom's many friends who visited and supported him. FUNERAL: Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 1501 N. Center Rd. The Rev. Michael Houle will officiate. Following Tom's wishes cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, November 4, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Cartwright Care Center or St. Matthew's Episcopal Church.
