Eduardo Gonzalez

GONZALEZ, Eduardo of Saginaw, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at St. Mary's of Michigan Hospital with his family at his side. He was 50 years old. Eduardo Gonzalez was born on May 18, 1963 in Saginaw to Fernando, Sr. and Victoriana (Soto) Gonzalez. As a young man, Ed was a fan of many sports; he also enjoyed riding his bike and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are a son, Jeremy Allan; mother, Victoriana Gonzalez; five brothers and two sisters: Miguel (Delia) Gonzalez, Herlinda Villareal and her fiancé, Jesse Sanchez, Fernando Gonzalez, Jr., Daniel Gonzalez, Rita Gonzalez, Andres Gonzalez and Richard Gonzalez, all of Saginaw. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He preceded in death by his father, Fernando Gonzalez, Sr.; aunt, Rose Alvarado; two uncles: Gregory Soto and Roy Torrez; grandparents: German and Leocadia Soto and Herlinda Montalvo and Jesus Gonzalez. FUNERAL: Eduardo's Funeral Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Fr. Francis Voris, OFM Cap will officiate. Honoring Ed's wishes cremation will follow. Private burial will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
