Eleanor Wegner

Wegner, Eleanor E. of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Saturday, July20, 2013 at Community Health Professional in Definace, Ohio with her loving family by her side. Eleanor was born on June 25, 1927 to the late Howard and Ella (Brandle) McNeil in Saginaw. She married the late Richard Allen Wegner on June 10, 1950 in Saginaw. She was employed by Vescio as a cashier. Eleanor enjoyed doing her yard work, talking with her neighbors, had a love of music, her birds and bird houses. Eleanor was a people person and very giving. She especially loved her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her four children: Kathleen (Larry) Libey of Goshen, IN, Sherri (Gerald) North of Defiance, Ohio, Jeanne Kessler of Saginaw and Richard (Diane) Wegner, Jr. of Saginaw; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two sisters: Gladys Radewahn and Betty Ann Reinke. Also surviving is her best friend, Katherine Trylch and many nieces and nephews. Eleanor was preceded in death by Maynard Trylch and Son-in-Law Alan Kessler. FUNERAL: Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013 at The Lutheran Church of the Messiah, 4640 N. Michigan Ave. Carlton. Pastor Phillip DeVries will officiate. Burial will follow graveside in Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eleanor will also lie in state on Friday, July 26, 2013 at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
