Obituary
LIEBRECHT, Nancy Carol of New Baltimore, Michigan, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at McLaren Macomb, with her daughter, Stacie, by her side. Nancy moved to New Baltimore to be near her youngest daughter, continuing their deep, loving, and compassionate bond. She was 74 years old. Nancy C. Liebrecht was born on January 4, 1939, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late, Carl F. and Helen K. (Fordos) Liebrecht. Nancy enjoyed dancing, fishing, cooking, and gardening—she loved her tomato plants. Most of all, Nancy cherished her children and grandchildren. Also, she was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Surviving are three children: Vickie (Bruce) Ziegelman of Morgan Hill, CA, Mark (Dawn) Jurewicz of Dearborn Heights and Stacie (Jim) Gilchrist of New Baltimore; six grandchildren: Tanner and Tiffany Ziegelman of Morgan Hill, CA, Katie and Kalie Jurewicz of Dearborn Heights, Lauren and Alyssa Gilchrist of New Baltimore; three brothers and four sisters: Jim (Sandi) Liebrecht of Traverse City, Mary Jane (John) McKenna of Traverse City, Christine (Bob) McCrea of Marquette, Frank (Denise) Liebrecht of Saginaw, Joyce (Ed) Zagunis of Traverse City, Dan Liebrecht of Long Beach, CA, and Janice Neely of Alabama. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Liebrecht. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan Ave. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Oakwood Mausoleum. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. I met Nancy via her sister, Mary Jane. Sometime ago now, when I visited Mary Jane in Saginaw, we would then often travel over to see Nancy.
Nancy always enjoyed company and had a welcome smile on her face each and every time. Several times we saw her with her granddaughters during our visits, she was so proud of them and loved them dearly. Her face was simply the brightest when they were around with their mom, whom she most fondly referred to as "Babe."
My prayers will be with the entire Liebrecht family tomorrow. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the service as we are hosting and competing in state competitions near Detroit, which I agreed to do weeks ago. My regrets for not being able to attend tomorrow's service.
My sincere condolences to each of the friends and family. Nancy was such a positive and kind person. I support you in your sorrow and thoughts of her in touching others around her as you attend this service in remembrance of her life tomorrow.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Nancy Carol Liebrecht. May you be strengthened and encouraged to know that God will provide much comfort to you in the days ahead as you cope with the passing of your loved one. We are encouraged by His words at Revelation 21: 4 which says of our future hope: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Jehovah has also given us the hope of a resurrection at John 5:28 where He says "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." May the friends and family be comforted during this time of great loss.

To all of Nancy's family - I'm so sorry and shocked to have heard of Nancy's death. I remember how much fun we had playing cards with her at the kitchen table on Wenonah Ln. and how pleasant she always was when I came to the house. We've lost a lovely, gentle lady.
