Thomas Heidger

HEIDGER, Thomas Jay Jr. of Saginaw, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. He was 31 years old. Thomas Jay Heidger was born on April 2, 1981 in Saginaw to Thomas Sr. and Kathleen (Moran) Heidger. He graduated from Heritage High School and earned his associates degree from Delta Collage in Construction Management. Tom had planed to attend Central Michigan University in the fall. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. Tom was a sport enthusiast and loved nature and spending time outdoors. His son, Noah, was his entire world. Surviving besides his son, Noah Heidger, and his parents are his sister, Jeanette (Marcus) Mack; brother, Andy Heidger; grandparents, Jim and Sally Heidger and Mary Ann Moran. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and dear friends. Tom was preceded in death by his daughter, Ava Susan Heidger; grandfather, Robert Moran; and aunt, Maureen Kostrzewski. FUNERAL: Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn. Rev. Fr. James G. Heller will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Andrews Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will take place on Friday at 7:00 p.m. led by Pastoral Associate, Sharon Wahl. Thomas will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral.
