Lois Stone

STONE, Lois Ann of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. She was 78 years old. Lois A. Spurbeck was born on May 26, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Seth and Cora (Dennis) Spurbeck. She graduated of Hemlock High School and proudly attended Delta College. Lois was employed by West Branch Community Schools. She enjoyed reading and was proud of her library collection of over 1500 books. Lois was an accomplished pianist, an animal lover and cherished her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are four daughters and two sons: JoAnn (Mike) Thomas of San Diego, CA, Esther Trimble of Conroe, TX, Mary Michael of Greenwood, IN, Rae (Jeff) Hall of Saginaw, Seth Thompson of Reynolds, GA, and Chris (Andrea) Thompson of Grand Blanc; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Beyersdorf of Hemlock. Also surviving are her nephews and their families. According to Lois' wishes cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
