Obituary
OSTRANDER, Keith R. of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at his home. He was 72 years old. Keith R. Ostrander was born on December 12, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Norman and Eileen L. (LeRoux) Ostrander. He married Joyce L. Gagnon on August 22, 1969 in Saginaw Michigan; she survives him. Keith graduated from Sacred Heart High School and was a member of the Catholic Faith. He worked for the Saginaw Township Schools. Keith was truly one of a kind, a wonderful man, husband, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He was a true outdoor enthusiast; he loved fishing, playing golf, and spending time with his beloved wife, Joyce and his family. Keith also enjoyed traveling north to his cottage on Wixom Lake. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Joyce; a son, Robert (Mari) Ostrander of Petoskey; a daughter, Amy Lynn (Jim) Licavoli of Bay City; a step daughter, Sharon M. Gempel of Saginaw; seven grandchildren: John Gempel, Jason (fiancée Heidi) Gempel, Keith (Samantha) Ostrander, Michael (fiancée Rianne) Ostrander, Kaitlyn Ostrander, Alexis Ferguson, Alivia Ferguson; four great grandchildren: Mary, Rowan, Sullivan, and Eveilynn; two brothers: Dale Ostrander and Lee (Cathy) Ostrander. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Wayne and Jay Ostrander. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Sr. Janet Fulgenzi, OP will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the Service. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to a charity of donor's choice. Ostrander family, the Texas Ostrander's are so sorry about the loss of your father. We have had so many Michigan/Lake City memories with your Dad. He had that great smile and the Ostrander laugh that I can still hear. Our prayer is that over time all the special memories you have had as a family will help heal your hearts. We are praying and will continue to pray that as you celebrate your Dads life over the next few days and years you will be able to draw closer as a family. We love you guys and hope to see you this summer.
