VARGAS, James Richard "Jimmy" of Saginaw, Michigan. Passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at his home. He was 48 years old. James Richard Vargas was born on December 30, 1964 in Saginaw to Richard and Sandra (Mendoza) Vargas. Jimmy graduated from Swan Valley in 1983. He was employed by Vargas Grocery and Properties. Jimmy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and loved his dogs, Bear and Lady. Surviving are his father, Richard Vargas; his sister, Kimberly Vargas; his fiancée, Tina Mazurowski; a niece, Rachel Fries-Austin: Also surviving are several aunts; Theresa Mendoza, Janie Mendoza,Barbara Mendoza-Nicklyn, Jane Mendoza and many cousins. Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Vargas; grandparents: Fidencio and Rosa Vargas, Abe and Genivieve Mendoza; uncles; Xavier, Angelo and Diego Vargas, Ronald and Bruce Mendoza. FUNERAL- James' Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd (off State) on Saturday, December 15 2012. Rev. Fr. Francis Voris, OFMCap will officiate. Honoring Jimmy's wishes, cremation will follow. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit on Saturday, December 15 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Joseph. Catholic Church. James was a loving friend and devoted family man. He would do anything to help anyone and always had a good heart. The love of his life was my great friend Tina. We will miss him dearly but know he is with God now and at peace. Please say prayers for Jimmy's family, and fiance Tina.

Jim was a very special friend to me and my father Ron. We had a lot of great times and shared many laughs. Jim was very thoughtful and caring person. There is nothing he wouldn't do for those he loved and cared for. I am already missing him and his smile. My heart and prayers go out to Kim and the family. I know he is resting in Gods arms now.
