Robert Martuch

MARTUCH, Robert Joseph, of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at his home. He was 88 years of age. Robert Joseph Martuch was born on July, 27, 1924 in Saginaw to the late Stephen L. and Ouita (Yake) Martuch. He was married to Joanne Mary Surian on April 3, 1948 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on June 18, 1988. Bob proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II. He had been employed with Consumers Power Company for 39 years until his retirement in 1987. He attended Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Bob was an avid bird hunter and fisherman. He was a big Detroit Lions fan. Surviving are his life companion; Antoinette "Toni" Sanburn, two sons and two daughters; Robert S. (LeeAnn) Martuch, Nancy A. Pasel and Julie Adams, Kathaleen M. Smith, and Joseph C. (Kristin) Martuch, seven grandchildren; Scott (Angie) Pasel, Aaron Pasel and Jennifer Pasel, Gretchen Martuch, Zachary (Meaghan) Martuch, Jeremy Martuch and Allison Martuch, two great grandchildren; Seth and Carter Pasel and a great grandson on the way, Miles Robert Martuch. Also surviving are two sisters; Sally (Leon) Bush and Lynn (William) Case. FUNERAL- Bob's Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd. Rev. Fr. David L. Parsch will officiate. Right of Committal will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION- Friends are welcome to visit with Bob's family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, December 17, 2012 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Bob will lie in state at Holy Spirit on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
