Obituary
DAVIS, Thomas W. of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at St. Mary's of Michigan. Age 68 years. Thomas W. Davis was born on May 5, 1944 in Saginaw to the late Warren C. and C. Audrey (Dieckmann) Davis. He was married to Barbara Shields on May 20, 1993 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives him. Thomas had been employed by AT&T until his retirement in 2006 and served as a police officer for The Village of St. Charles for 23 years. He volunteered at the Saginaw Children's Zoo operating the bright red miniature train and enjoyed time spent traveling and camping with his family and friends. Left to treasure Thomas' memory are his wife, Barbara; step-daughter, Heather (Eric) Parrell of Brighton; step-son, Brian (Mary) Schneider of Saginaw; step-daughter, Lindsay (Michael) Reynolds of Twin Lake; eight grandchildren: Connor and Lauren Parrell, Elissa Coeur, Tyler and Breanna Schneider, Cameron, Caden and Carson Reynolds; two cousins: Bev (Robert), Marilyn; and many friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Mary's of Michigan for their care and compassion. FUNERAL: Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State). Rev Robert Walters will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at Deisler Funeral Home on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Thomas' service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Saginaw Children's Zoo or Friends of the Animal Shelter of Saginaw County. What i will miss about Tom is his always willing attitude to be our official cookie tester while making our Christmas cookies. He was also our official bartender for said baking bee. You will be missed my friend.......xoxoxo Dawn Lojek

Tom was always very, very kind to me, my wife and our children. He was a great part of our family and I am really going to miss him. I am going to especially miss him asking me, Mike and Brian if we want to go to the "Vu" when we came in for family parties. Tom was a bit of a jokster that always wanted to have fun and be with his wife/Barb, his family and friends. RIP, Tom...you will be missed!
