Marilyn Zander

ZANDER, Marilyn Ann (Murray) of Saginaw, MI passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012 at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor. She was 66 years old. Marilyn was born August 11, 1946 in Bad Axe, MI to the late Clement and Esther (Fisher) Murray. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Burton Zander and a twin sister, Carolyn Murray. She was a Case Worker for the Department of Human Services for 32 years retiring in 1996. During her retirement Marilyn went to work for Originally Ours Florist as their bookkeeper for five years. Marilyn was a faithful member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She is survived by her sister and brothers: Janet Marie Murray, Carl (Karyl) Murray and Paul (Cynthia) Murray; step-children: Terri Zander, Kim Zander and Dan Zander; nieces: Kristen Murray and Amanda (John) Matteson. FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy for Marilyn will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate. Following Marilyn's wishes cremation has taken place and burial of her remains will be in Smith Crossings Cemetery in Ubly. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
