WALKER, Mary A. (Santino) of Saginaw, MI passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Covenant Healthcare - Harrison. She was 68 years old. Mary A. Santino was born on November 4, 1943 in Saginaw to the late Frank and Sarah (Fulco) Santino. She married Fred R. Walker, Jr. and he preceded her in death. Mary was a faithful member of St. Helen Catholic Church. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren, going to the casino and playing Bingo and cards. Mary is survived by her five daughters: Sarah (James) Wilder, Kristine (Tony) Astbury, Susan (Gary) Bickford, Shirley (Ronnie) Scalf, and Naomi Walker; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters: Luciano (Kathy) Santino, Anna Zaragoza, Ralph (Mary) Santino, Jackie Dyer, Joe (Lola) Santino; many nieces and nephews. Two sisters preceded Mary in death: Frances Egerer and Theresa Compton. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy for Mary will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2445 N. Charles St., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mary will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society or St. Helen Catholic Church. Kris and Sarah sorry for your loss!! I remember when we were kids and grew up together.My mom and Aunt Tina and Rosie were really good friends of Mary's. I remember that one house I think it was down the road from my Uncle Jim's moms house. And the twins were just little girls then.Man that seems so long ago.I wish I could of gotten to come see her. She is now with one of her friends again "my mom"!! Sending prayers for all of you!!
