JOZWIAK, Julie A, of Freeland, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012, at her home. She was 93 years old. Julie A. Cianek was born on January 16, 1919 in Quanicassee, Michigan, to the late Frank and Agnes (Lesczynski) Cianek She married Eugene Jozwiak on June 12, 1948 in Bay City, Michigan. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1982. Julie was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post 439. Surviving are three sons, Christopher (Cheryl K.) Jozwiak, Jeffrey Jozwiak and Daniel (Mary) Jozwiak; eight grandchildren: Jeffrey (Hiroko) Jozwiak Jr., Aaron Jozwiak, Jennifer (Marshall) Bonner, Melissa (Randy) Coulter, Amie Jozwiak, Bobby Wells, Kaitlin (Brian) Macy, Travis Hatt; Seven great-grandchildren: Alexis, Heidi, Kendall, Kenny, Lauren, Rickey and Riley. Also surviving are a sister and a brother; Genevieve Matuszak and Raymond Cianek, as well as a special friend and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Wells, and ten brothers. FUNERAL: Julie's Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2012 at St Agnes Catholic Church, 300 Johnson St, Freeland, Michigan 48623. Rev. Fr. Ricky Varner will officiate. Entombment will follow in Oakwood Mausoleum. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Julie will lie in state at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Agnes Catholic Church. Mary and I were saddened to learn of Julie's passing (and also belatedly about Susan's also). Your mother and father were friends with my parents, and I remember them gathering at our home when I was small to work on church projects. Also when I was a little older, Mrs. J. used to give me a ride to school. Your mother, and your family will remain in our prayers.
