McKINNEY, Mary Margaret of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Bickford Senior Living Home. Mary was 92 years of age. Mary Margaret Gaertner was born on May 24, 1920 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Carl and Clara (Schramke) Gaertner. She was married to Robert Ray McKinney on June 24, 1941. He preceded her on September 9, 1988. They were Diamond Direct Distributors for Amway. Mary was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are a daughter, Joyce M. Hoffman of Louisville, KY. Tom (Rosanne) McKinney of Carrollton,TX, four Grandchildren, Robin (Ben Zackheim) Hoffman, Peter (Junko) Hoffman, Stephanie (Brandon Davis) Hoffman, Allen McKinney, two great-grandchildren, Momoko Hoffman and Jack Zackheim, two sisters, Jane Bourbonnais, Imelda (Stan) Massey. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucina Danhoff and Rita Muray. FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy will take place at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Chapel Hill Mausoleum. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State St.) on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass.
