THOMAS, Dorothy Evelyn "Evie" of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison, she was 86. Dorothy Evelyn Campbell was born August 29, 1925 in Au Gres, MI to the late Alexander and Katherine Campbell. She married Howard Mathue Thomas on August 6, 1944. He predeceased her on December 14, 2007. Evie was a long time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and an avid Bowler. Surviving are a son and three daughters: James (Peggy) Thomas of Ann Arbor, Joyce Howey of Saginaw, Jean (Glenn) Fritz of Reese, Barb (John) Willing of Saginaw; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Evie was predeceased by a granddaughter, Carrie Wozniak, and a son-in-law, Larry Howey, Sr. FUNERAL: Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Phillip DeVries will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Deisler Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, consider memorials to The Carrie Wozniak Scholarship Fund or HealthSource.

To the Thomas family; I want to offer my condolences to you all. I am sorry for the loss of your mother. I know that she will be sorely missed and I pray that you have the support and comfort that you need and desire as Proverbs 17:17 says " A true companion is loving all the time and is a brother born for when there is distress." May you all have that true companion.
