Jacqueline Moriarty

MORIARTY, Jacqueline L. of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at St. Mary's of Michigan. She was 80 years old. Jacqueline L. Moriarty was born on August 17, 1931 in Saginaw, to the late Emmett and Ethel (Davison) Moriarty. She was employed with the O.E. Bierd Insurance Company and later worked for Standard Federal Bank, retiring after many years of service. Jacqueline was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and doing crafts with her friends at South Colony. Surviving are a sister, Eileen A Schrems; brother and sister-in-law, Larry W. (Judy) Moriarty, 11 nieces and nephews: Mike (Doreen) Schrems, Dan (Ann) Schrems, Sue (Mike) Melville, Kathleen (Eric) Neumann, Mary (Gordon) Weiss, Tim (Diane) Schrems, Tom (Maria) Schrems, Cheryl (Mike) Moriarty-Davis, Mary (Harlow) Naasz, Kathy (Jeff) Martens and Nancy (Randy) Pelky; 28 great nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces and nephews, she is also survived by her dear friend, Dale Smith and many treasured South Colony friends. Jacqueline was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Johnson, brother in law, Thomas Schrems, and a nephew, Frank Johnson. FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn. Rev. Fr. James G. Heller will officate. Rite of Committal will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with Jacqueline's family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. A vigil service, led by Pastoral Associate Sharon Wahl, will take place at 7:00 p.m. Jacqueline will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
