Obituary
EVERETT, Carolyn A. of New Port Richey, Florida, and Saginaw, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2012 at Gulfside Regional Hospice in Hudson, FL. She was 86 years old. Carolyn A. Haar was born on July 12, 1926 to the late Henry and Nadalia "Tillie" (Balzer) Haar. She married John Hudson Everett on April 4, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1991. Carolyn was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Tarpon Springs, Florida, and Resurrection Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a Past Grand Matron of Michigan Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, and Past Matron of Martha Washington #113. Carolyn was also a member of the Germania Town and Country Club and the Daughters of the Nile Makere Temple #99. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Gulfside Regional Hospice - Bayonet Point, Florida. Carolyn is survived by her children: Tim Everett of Port Richey, FL, Cheryl (Bob) Bushey of Saginaw, Craig (Jill) Everett of Saginaw, and Steven (Tina) Everett of Saginaw; five grandchildren: Brandon Spear, Amy (Nate) Brookman, Steven Everett, Tricia Everett and Chris Carolan; two great grandchildren: Kylie and Arielle Spear; two sisters: Esther Sparling and Sharon (Bob) Ruppel; and a sister-in-law, Maxine Smith. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Haar, two sisters: Esther Haar and Mabel Pomeraning. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Carolyn will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2110 Brockway St., Saginaw MI 48602. Pastor Kathleen Basner will officiate with entombment to follow at Oakwood Mausoleum. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., (off State) from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. The Past Grand Matrons and the Past Grand Patrons of the Grand Chapter of Michigan Order of the Eastern Star will hold a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Carolyn will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Grand Chapter of Michigan Estarl Fund or Resurrection Lutheran Church.

What a Lady, she was the BEST MOM anyone could ever have, LOVE you dearly. Lot's of tears of Joy, the days ahead will be tough I know you will be watching over all of us as you always did. I am so glad you are at peace mom and know you are with dad also, bless you both the GREATEST Parents a son could ever have. I am writing this looking at your picture and you are so beautiful and always has been. You don't kown how much we will all miss you, we already do. For my wife Tina, son Steven and daughter Tricia you were the BEST. The next time I see you and dad I want BIG HUGS.
You had a Great life you raised a Great Faimly and I am so proud of all of us. Thank you for always being there for me, I may of said this before but you were the BEST.

Sister Carolyn may have been a member in Michigan however, Florida Eastern Star will miss her to!! We will long remember her smile and willingness to always lend a helping hand! Until we meet again we will keep her alive in our hearts.

Too many memories to remember from the past 15 years, lots of laughs. My favorite is when Carolyn got dressed for her Eastern Star events which was a very formal affair. She always needed someone to zip up her dress and my husband wanted to know if she was going to the prom. We always had a good laugh about her "prom" dresses. I sure miss you and it's so hard to walk by your door, knowing you aren't there. I could always look in and see the back of your head when you were watching sports, etc. I guess I will have to take the other route downstairs, but I doubt if it will help. I know you will keep things jumping where you are at, but we sure do miss you down here. Love you much!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Everett Family. Carolyn was an awesome women, and I will always have my last great memories of her at Tina's 50th. She was so worried that she was too dressed up in her zebra outfit instead of green for St. Patty's Day -- and of course she looked beautiful as always :) I hope memories such as this can bring you strength during this tough time.

Best thing about Grandma Everett, I could do no wrong :) In sports they say, for the most part you block out the fans in the stands while you are playing. Well not Grandma Everett, shoot I could plow someone over on the basketball court and be called for a foul and Grandma would yell "that's not a foul, come on". I could strike out looking at a pitch straight down the middle, and grandma would yell "BAD CALL, good eye Tricia". That's what grandma's are for, she was always on my side, 100% of the time.
It is almost bierock time… she would always laugh at me because I put ranch on mine.. I'll be there this year to help Aunt Cheryl carry on the tradition (with my ranch).
