Mary Kempf-Winters

KEMPF- WINTERS, Mary Jane of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Covenant - Cooper. Age 86 years. Mary Jane Burgess was born on September 24, 1925 in Saginaw to the late Carl and Frances (Trombley) Burgess. She was married to Lawrence Winters who preceded her in death. She later married William Kempf who also preceded her in death. Jane was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and active in The League of Catholic Women. She enjoyed baseball and was a huge Detroit Tigers fan. Surviving are a daughter, Nancy (David) Norman; two sons: Larry (Kim) Winters, David Carl Winters; five stepchildren: William (Andrea) Kempf, Jackie (Warren) Powell, Tim (Linda) Kempf, Fred Kempf, and Tom Kempf; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four sisters: Jackie (Carl) Jaenicke, Barb (Vernell) Swanton, Pat (Buzz) Miska, Sally Demers; plus many nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by a daughter, Rozann Winters, and a brother, Carl Burgess. FUNERAL: Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State). Fr. Richard E. Jozwiak will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the Deisler Funeral Home on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
