Jane Miller

MILLER, Jane E. of Saginaw, MI. Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012, at Luther Manor surrounded by her family. She was 89 years old. Jane E. Provost was born on September 15, 1922 in Plattsburgh, NY to the late Frank and Jenny (Downs) Provost. Jane moved to Saginaw following the death of her parents and was raised by her loving aunt and uncle, Anna and Frank Call. She married William R. Miller on July 19, 1942 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Saginaw. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1998. Jane was a faithful member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She enjoyed Sunday family dinners, raising her family and spending time in her garden. Jane and Williams' marriage was blessed with three sons and two daughters: William F. (Janet) Miller, Mary (Larry, deceased) LaFray, Kathleen (Patrick) O'Toole all of Saginaw, John (Helen) Miller of Midland, Richard (Renee) Miller of Saginaw; 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and another on the way; sisters-in-law: Betty Miller of Bay Port, Maria Miller of Ft. Washington, MD and Terri Miller of Fitchburg, MA. Also surviving are many members of the Call family and several nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Larry LaFray; brothers: Robert and Frank Provost; and a sister, Mildred Neadeau. Jane's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Luther Manor, especially Bobbie Pollard for the care and compassion provided to their mom. FUNERAL: Jane's Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn St. Rev. Fr. James G. Heller will officiate with burial to follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., (off State) on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Jane will lie in state at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
