Robert Schulz

SCHULZ, Robert P. "Bob" of Bridgeport, Michigan passed away suddenly on March 10, 2012, at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper. He was 64 years of age. Robert Paul Schulz was born on July 30, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Maurice and Lorna (Reinbold) Schulz. Bob married Linda Sue Beck on May 31, 1975 in Saginaw, Michigan. She survives him. He graduated from Buena Vista High School; class of 1965. Bob was employed with USF Holland; retiring in July of 2008 after 34 years of service. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer. Bob loved woodworking, gardening and was considered a jack of all trades. He was a member of Taymouth Township Historical Association and enjoyed volunteering at the Saginaw County Fair. Surviving are his wife, Linda; one daughter, Heidi S. Strauss and her fiancé, Jason Gempel; a son, Todd J. Schulz; a granddaughter, Alyssa Strauss; two brothers and two sisters, Betty Schulz, Maurice (Sally) Schulz, Larry (Pat) Schulz, Barbara (Greg) Schultz; a sister in law, Kathy (Tom) Kitzman; a brother in law, Don S. Beck; a mother in law, Barbara Beck and Dick "the Dickster" Ray; nieces and nephews, Ann (Tom) Barnett, Kim (Chris) Schalk, Traci (Brian) Hendrickson, Eric Schultz (Sarah Nelson), Ashley Schultz, Matthew Schultz, Tom (Alicia) Kitzman, Jessica Kitzman, Melissa Levi, Daniel Kitzman, Andrew Kitzman, and many close and personal friends. Bob was preceded in death by a father in law, Don J. Beck FUNERAL- Bob's Funeral Service will be take place at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Rob Richards will officiate. Entombment will follow at the Oakwood Mausoleum. VISITATION- Friends are welcome to visit with Bob's family at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of 10:00 a.m. Service.
