Mary E. Hill

HILL, Mary Ann E. of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, August 8, 2011. She was 76 years old. Mary Ann E. Fritz-Willy was born on December 17, 1934 in Sebewaing, Michigan to the late Alfred and Bessie (Rowe) Fritz. When she was a year old, her uncle and aunt, Albert and Minnie Willy, adopted her. She married Jack Jay Hill on November 14, 1953 in Bay City; he preceded her in death on April 7, 2010. Mary was a 1953 graduate of Bay City Central High School. She worked at Lufkin Rule, assembling rulers for 11 years, before retiring in 1967 to take care of her beloved family. Above anything, Mary loved spending time with her family and going to various church gatherings. She enjoyed working on word search puzzles, crocheting and driving in the country with her husband, Jack, watching sunsets. Mary also cherished her flowers; she was especially proud of her roses. Mary was a member of Grace Communion International. Surviving are three sons and a daughter: Connie and Tracy Wolverton, Terry Lee Hill, Jack Jay Hill, Jr., and Larry and Holly Hill; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. Also surviving are several stepbrothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. FUNERAL: Mary's funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Briscoe Ellett will officiate. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
