Francisca Martinez

MARTINEZ, Francisca of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011, at the Caretel Inns of Tri-Cities. Age 91 years. Francisca Hernandez was born on April 4, 1920 in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico to the late Modesto and Carmen (Anguiano) Hernandez. She married Tomas D. Martinez in 1949. He predeceased her on December 8, 1989. Francisca loved going to bingo and knitting. She would make pillows, blankets, potholders and other gifts for her family and friends. Francisca was a member of Harvest Assembly of God. Francisca is survived by two sons and a daughter, Leonor Odom, Arturol L. Martinez, and Robert (Yvonne) Martinez; seven grandchildren, Robert, Marina, James, Rebecca, Camille, Christina, and Gabriel; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grand daughters; a sister, Paula Rocha and a brother, Guadalupe (Juanita) Hernandez. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Francisca was preceded in death by a sister, Felipa Guevara. FUNERAL- Francisca's Funeral Service will be take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd (Off State). Rev. Robert Martinez and Gabriel Martinez will officiate with the burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens VISITATION- Friends may visit with Francisca's family at the Deisler Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of 11:00 a.m. service.
