Marisa Santino

SANTINO, Marisa Louise of Saginaw passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011 at Detroit Medical Center with her family at her side. She was 41 years old. Marisa L. Santino was born on October 2, 1969 in Saginaw. She loved her dogs and enjoyed playing cards, word searches and puzzles. Marisa is survived by her four children: Randall, Susie, Joshua and Johnathan Santino all of Saginaw; two grandchildren, Randall, Jr. and Layla Rose Santino; her mother, Sonya (Charles) Wilcox of Saginaw; her father, Luciano (Kathleen) Santino of Saginaw; three sisters and a brother: Lisa (Kenneth) Kaufman of Saginaw, Kimberly (Jeffrey) Hollingsworth of Tennessee, James (Holly) Santino of Birch Run and Stephanie Albrecht of Grand Rapids; a special boyfriend, Ralph Flathau of Saginaw; 10 nieces and nephews: Justin and Nicholas Kaufman, Samantha and Julia Hollingsworth, Christopher and Karissa Santino, Michael Albrecht, Damontae, Demarion and Dayshawn Davis. Marisa was preceded in death by her grandparents: Frank and Sarah Santino, Leo and Rhea Freeman; two aunts, Frances Egerer and Theresa Compton; two uncles, Dale and Sharon Freeman and Joseph Freeman and many extended family and cousins. FUNERAL: A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Fr. Richard E. Jozwiak will officiate. According to Marisa's wishes cremation will follow the funeral service. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home on Monday, April 11, 2011 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
