Jean McIntosh

McINTOSH, Jean E. of Saginaw, Michigan, our Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away with her family by her side. She was 85 years old. Jean E. St. John was born on March 3, 1926 in Jackson, Michigan to the late Laverne and Mabel (West) St. John. She married Robert W. McIntosh on July 7, 1946 in Jackson, Michigan. Jean graduated from Jackson High School and attended Hillsdale College. Jean truly was a wonderful person with an excellent sense of humor and she treasured the times spent with family and friends. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Saginaw and Maple Hill Golf Club in Hemlock. She enjoyed golfing, traveling, and playing bridge. Surviving Jean are her loving husband of 64 years, Robert; two sons and a daughter: David (Ilene) McIntosh of Saginaw, Jim (Carol) McIntosh of Galesburg, and Judy (Michael) Robertson of Troy; eight grandchildren: Andrew McIntosh, Jane (Morgan) Rose, Elizabeth McIntosh, Kelly (Greg) Remer, Todd McIntosh, Laura, Christine and Eric Robertson; four great grandchildren: Gavin and Madeline McIntosh, Marian and Elizabeth Rose. A brother, Richard St. John, preceded Jean in death. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service honoring Jean will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, 4790 Gratiot Rd. Rev. Kathryn S. Snedeker will officiate. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with Jean's family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, April 1, 2011 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
