Oceania Naomi Gunning, our beloved newborn, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 in Saginaw, Michigan.

She was born to Australia Starry Brown; and also leaves behind her grandmother, Janet Gunning; uncles, Joseph T. Gunning, Joshua Samuel Gunning Anderson; niece and nephew, Asia and Tyveon; cousin, Renee Gunning; great aunt, Sharry Burke McClain and her children, Russell Yankee, Jessica Gunning, and Tyvon Gunning; aunt Pam (the late Andre) Brown; uncles, Jason Gunning and Carl (Tammy) Gunning; cousins, Caleb Edlinger, Chase Edlinger, Ashlyn Gunning, Mariah Gunning, Brookelynn Swartzendruber, little Russell Yankee, and Abby Yankee; family friends, Alyssa Proton who was also Oceania's godparent, and Saniyah Donald.

Oceania was preceded in death by her late uncle, Jeremiah M. Gunning; grandparents, Carl Gunning and Janet Donahue; Starry and Breeze; uncle Bill; cousin Bill; great uncle, June; and uncle, Allen McClain.

Cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time.
