Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Edgewood Assisted Living. She was 93 years old. Beata Louise Perdue was born on December 14, 1932 in Continental, Ohio to Jay and Donna (Coleman) Perdue. She attended school in Albion, Michigan and married Kenneth DonSang on August 14, 1949. Together they spent many wonderful years together until his passing on November 6, 1991. Beata enjoyed cooking for her family and socializing with all who crossed her path. Her quick wit and entertaining humor always keep her family on their toes. As her name in Latin translated into “Blessed”, her loving spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Beata is survived by her children: Linda (Ross) Beers and Aaron DonSang; grandchildren: Karen (Paul Andrusiak) Beers and Ryan (Elise) Beers; great grandchildren: Adam, Ariana, Jacob and Emma Beers; brothers: Lowell “Don” Perdue and Gerald Perdue; many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Beata was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; parents, Jay and Donna; great granddaughter, Juliana Beers; and brother, Harold Perdue.

Beata’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Edgewood Assisted Living for the wonderful care that was provided over the past few years. The family is also thankful for the many relationships that were made at Edgewood, especially with Abby, Beata’s partner in crime.

Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603 on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.; visitation will continue at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 2525 Hemmeter Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603 on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Andreas Teich will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
