Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. She was 73 years old. Robin Elizabeth Albrecht was born on August 24, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio to Richard and Barbara Ann (Bennett) Albrecht. She married John A. Picard on November 25, 1992, at Holy Family Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2021.
Robin was a prolific reader and a world traveler. Her adventures took her to 6 continents and over 50 countries.
Robin is survived by her children: Erin (Craig) Buckley and Ian Swope; step-children: Peter John Picard, Christopher A. (Patricia) Picard, Michelle P. (William) Richter, Jeffrey Andrew “Drew” Picard (deceased) and Guy Francis Picard; grandchildren: Katie, John, Kelly, Emily, Christopher, Isabelle, Taylor, Paige, Peyton, Adrienne and Alex; great-grandchildren: Alexis, Jakob, Blake, Kalie, Evelyn and Sophia; sisters: Judy (Gary) Mohr and Michelle (Dave) Alger; many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; and sister, Bridgett.
In keeping with Robin’s wishes, cremation has taken place and her family will celebrate her life privately. Her cremated remains will be placed next to her husband, John at Owen Cemetery.
