Obituary
Husband, father, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully at his residence early Saturday morning, June 13, 2026, he was 76 years old. Michael Ray Perry was born on December 10, 1949, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Ray and Elizabeth "Jeanne" (Randal) Perry. He married Karen Rosenstangel in Au Train, Michigan, in 1999, sharing many wonderful years together. Michael attended and graduated from Saginaw Lutheran Seminary before proudly serving his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Michael dedicated 30 years of service to General Motors, where he worked as a machine operator until his retirement. He was a longtime member of the American Legion, the Sturgeon Creek Beagle Club, and the National Rifle Association.
An avid outdoorsman, Michael found great joy in hunting and fishing and especially enjoyed running beagles. His happiest moments, however, were spent at his beloved cabin in Trenary, Michigan, where he treasured the peace and beauty of the outdoors while making lasting memories with family and friends.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Karen Perry; one sister, Linda McKillop; three stepsons, James, Daniel, and Wayne Schram; four grandsons, Josh, Justin, Austin, and Zach; four close nephews, Chad, Adam, Scott, and Seth McKillop; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Jeanne Perry.
VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Rick Milks will officiate. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Navy and American Legion Post # 439. He will be laid to rest a Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
