Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Winter Village in Frankenmuth. She was 101 years old. Laura May Brenay was born on May 14, 1925 in Buena Vista to Norman E. and Erma Millie (Dodge) Brenay. She married Marvin J. Hildinger on February 15, 1947 in Saginaw. Together they celebrated 64 years of marriage before his passing on July 25, 2011. Laura raised three children and for five years she enjoyed having five generations in her family. She truly loved her family and was proud to live a good long life. Laura worked for Saginaw Township Schools preparing meals for all of the children for over 10 years. She loved to travel, spending winters with her sister in Arizona. The matriarch of our family has passed, but her legacy will continue to live in all of those who loved her.

Surviving are her daughter and two sons: Diane (David) Roark of Austin, Texas, Rich (Jan) Hildinger of Essexville and Roger (Lisa) Hildinger of Livonia; five grandchildren: Jenny (Cliff) Robinson, John Sedlik, Becky (Jerrud) Vrable, Johanna Hildinger and Tyler Hildinger; great grand-children: Zoe, Gracie, Kaya and Landric; great great-grandson, Leo; sister, Frances Iwen; many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marvin; and her four sisters: Goldie Specht, Bertha Morr, Marie Axtell and Norma Bushor.

Following Laura's wishes cremation has taken place. Interment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603.
