Joseph Gonzales

A Loving, amazing, wonderful, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend passed away unexpectedly on Thursday morning, September 10, 2026 at his residence. He was 45 years old. Joseph was born June 7, 1981 in Saginaw, Michigan to William and Lucy (Mendez) Gonzales. He was with his endearing wife Anna Gonzales (Rittmaier) for 28 years and married for 20 years. His smile was infectious and lit up the room around him. He was an artist through graphic design, painting, drawing, and woodworking. Later in life his passion was staying on top of his wellness through diet and exercise. The gym to him was a part of his weekly routine. Family was everything to him; cooking many meals, being the family grill master, and of course the famous Saturday breakfast.

Surviving is his wife, Anna Gonzales; children, Austin James,Alexander Joseph (Sandra), Andre Jerome, August Jay; parents, William and Lucy Gonzales; sister Angela Gonzales, her children Elena (John) Garchow, Robert Thiel, and her grandchild Sevyn Garchow; extended family and countless friends. Who will now take on his legacy of protector, provider, and healer to all around them.

Joe was preceded in death by his brother in law Ryan Rittmaier.

In keeping with Joe’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE: A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Pure-Nrgy Fitness, 4367 Bay Road, Saginaw, MI 48603.
